Let's get right down to it: this movie was made to make me laugh. That's all it does. There is no plot. There is no character development. There are only jokes. In the grand tradition of movies like "Airplane!" and "Naked Gun", this one is only here to get you to laugh.

There are times that it fulfills its destiny. I admit, there were times that I laughed and laughed very hard at "Scary Movie". Every scene involving the closeted homosexual football player, for example. Or the scene where a man finds a Polaroid of something embarrassing on his gym locker. That moment had me laughing pretty hard.

But there are too many times when the jokes fall flat. Some of them are tired. Some of them are lame. Some of them try too hard to be disgusting and not hard enough to be funny. And many of the parodies just leave you wondering WHY?

If you want a few decent (or, in this case, indecent) laughs, then check it out. Just remember to check your brain at the door. It's not great cinema. Or even really good cinema. If you want to see a movie like this done right, rent the two movies I mentioned above, or the oft-neglected "Kentucky Fried Movie".

But it's a hell of a lot funnier than "Road Trip".

Ugh. I'm still trying to drink away memories of that one.
